Hello everyone. I know a lot of you has
been waiting for me to post an update for Korean dramas. I truly apologize for
not posting anything for the longest time. I have been busy since I moved to
the US. The funny part, though I haven’t posted an update yet, but I have been
watching Korean dramas since I got here. Without further ado, here’s the second
part of my list. Click here to check out my first (long!) list if you still
haven’t.

GOBLIN
Ratings: ★★★★★★★★★★
Main Cast:
Gong Yoo as Kim Shin (939 years old,
goblin)
Kim Go Eun as Ji Eun Tak (19, human
bride)
Lee Dong Wook as Wang Yeo (late 30s,
grim reaper)
Yoo In Na as Kim Sun / Sunny (mid-late
20s)
Yook Sung Jae as Yoo Duk Hwa (mid-late
20s)
My Short Review: THIS! If you haven’t
watched this yet, please do! Goblin definitely made it to my number one spot of
my favorite Korean dramas of all time. I don’t have any complaints at all, it’s
perfect even with its flaws. The plot, cinematography, the chemistry between
the cast, the bromance, and of course, I love how it doesn’t have a cringe-worthy
love triangle. I truly love the writer of this drama, Kim Eun Sook. She is also
the one who penned Descendants of the Sun, The Heirs, A Gentleman's Dignity,
Secret Garden, and Lovers in Paris which happened to be all my favorites.

WEIGHLIFTING FAIRY KIM BOK JOO
Ratings: ★★★★★★★★★★
Main Cast:
Lee Sung Kyung as Kim Bok Joo
Nam Joo Hyuk as Jung Joon Hyung
Kyung Soo Jin as Song Shi Ho
Lee Jae Yoon as Jung Jae Yi
My Short Review: I cried so much when
this show ended. This truly hits a home run. Such a feel-good journey from
start to finish, and with a perfect happy ending. I love how the storyline
tackles topics that most of us have been through at one time or another – first
love, one sided love, breaking up/heartbreak, fighting with friends, a sick family
member, and more. These things are what most of us are experiencing on daily
basis. Cast wise, I can’t express enough how wonderful I thought the acting was,
not just the main leads, but all the actors in this drama truly gave life to
their roles. The chemistry between them, Lee Sung-kyung and Nam Joo-hyuk, is
too damn real! I truly wish they would date in real life. Haha! I could
honestly go on and on about how awe-mazing this drama is, and never run out of
positive things to say. If you haven’t watched this yet, please do!
