We visited NoVu in December
2013 for a company Christmas dinner (you can read that post here) and I loved it.
Nothing has really changed in terms of décor and design. And just like last
time, we really enjoyed its sophisticated ambiance and the sultry tones of the
live band. Here’s what we had in our second visit.
In this visit, I decided
to go with their grilled special. I ordered Tuna Belly (Php650.00). It was
served with two side sides. I chose mashed potato and mixed vegetables for my
sides. I love this one. Yum!
Carol ordered the same
menu I had before. It's Dou of Blue Marlin and Tiger Prawn (Php785.00). It's
seared blue marlin steak and tiger prawns served with vegetable relish and
steamed rice. This one is a winner, and I'd say a must try.
Grace ordered Chilean Sea
Bass (Php950.00). It's a pan-fried Chilean sea bass with lemon butter sauce,
caramelized green asparagus and herb-ed pan fried olive potatoes. I tried it,
it's okay, but it doesn't taste as good as the one from Kulinarya.
Michael ordered Bolognesa
(Php395.00), its ground beef and herbs in tomato and brown sauce.

Jex and Keona got the same meal. It was a steak, but not sure what it was. Sorry!
Overall, Nuvo Bar and
Restaurant experience was a really
enjoyable one just like last the time we visited. The service was friendly,
attentive and inviting. One
thing though, No-vu’s food was good, very good, but it wasn’t as good as the
last time. But I’d still recommend them.
