When I got home from an event on Tuesday afternoon, I ended up questioning myself about a lot of things. Vice President in Sales (ASIA) is the position you’ll read in my certificate of employment. I am in sales and marketing field and I have dealt with thousands of people in the last 8 years. But somehow, that event with Ardy Abello made me reevaluate myself and what I have become. Have I tried to become great? Or did I choose to just settle with the good? What are my priorities?
Ardy Abello is a top-ranked motivational speaker and one of the well-respected trainers in the country. He is a member of the American Society of Training and Development, an international organization involved in the holistic development of individuals and teams for top performance.

He was a
speaker at the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) World Conference in Altanta,
Georgia. Ardy Abello was the only Filipino among 50 speakers to be invited to
speak in this prestigious event participated in by over 6,000 of the top life
insurance agents worldwide.
In 2012, he was
awarded as the “Highest Rated Speaker” for In-House Seminars by Salt and Light
Ventures and Asian Center for Trainers. He surpassed over 40 speakers in that
category.
For over a
decade now, Ardy Abello truly mastered the art of public speaking. He has been
involved in training, consulting and in recent years, coaching executives and
the top management teams of different companies belonging to the Top 100
Corporations and Multinationals in the Philippines. He has also keynoted in
corporate sales rallies, conventions and conferences, local and abroad, on
various topics such as Leadership, Team Work, Top Performance, Work-Life
Balance and many more.
But above all
these accomplishments, on Tuesday, I have witnessed how grounded and humble
this man was and still is. To date, I am impressed how he leads by example as a motivational speaker. He
always puts God first in all his affairs, and is always making his family as his
top priority.
Free lunch was
served during the press launch.
What I learned
from Ardy Abello? I have learned a lot! He
taught us how to be an effective leader and how to build an excellent team. The
G-O-L-D winning insights concept that he introduced to us was very good, and exactly what I
needed — aim high and never settle for the good only, be outstanding and
consistent, always lead with respect, and it’s your character that will keep you
on top. He said, in today’s race for success – silver is not enough – one should
go for gold. But he also reminded us, that although success is good and surely what
everyone wants, we should never lose our soul in the process.
Have you been
to an event where a speaker leaves a great impact on you? Ardy Abello did an
amazing thing. I left at the event filled with insightful pondering on
leadership, success and my priorities in life.
