Taiwan Excellence in the Philippines: Enabling Filipinos to enjoy an excellent lifestyle.

The Taiwan Government, through its Bureau of Foreign Trade of Taiwan (BOFT) and Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), is launching the first-ever Taiwan Excellence campaign in the Philippines. The campaign is not only to showcase the superb Taiwanese brands, but also to raise brand awareness and to give Filipino consumers the opportunity to discover a range of Taiwanese products with the seal of quality.


Taiwan Excellence campaign will be bringing 56 top quality brands-175 products to the Philippine market, which fall under different industries such as information and communications technologies (ICT), home and living, and sports & leisure. Some of the brands under the campaign include Acer, Asus, BenQ, Draytek, HCG, KingCom, KW Trio, Kymco, MSI, Silicon Power, Sym, Transcend, and many more. 

About Taiwan Excellence:

Established in 1992, Taiwan Excellence is a campaign that recognizes high-quality Taiwanese brands, guaranteeing their superior quality and value. It is an award given by the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) and Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) to encourage Taiwan industries to upgrade and incorporate innovalue into their products. 

The Award of Taiwan Excellence today is the highest accolade awarded to Taiwan products that encapsulate innovalue. The symbol of Taiwan Excellence heralds Taiwan’s ascent to world-class quality in product innovation, design and manufacturing, representing the highest standards which Taiwan products must meet to maintain its competitive edge in the global markets. 

The Seal of Excellence Awarding Process:

All Taiwan based brands are eligible to be part of the campaign. Product categories include consumer and business IT, fashion, arts and culture, sports, education, transportation, and others.

To qualify for these awards, the products go through a rigorous screening process to ensure that they are of the highest standard and can proudly represent the unique and innovative culture of Taiwan.

Each product is scored based on its R&Ddesignquality, and marketing by an international panel of judges. Each product must score evenly well in each category in ordered to be selected. 

From among the selected products, the judges choose those who deserve the Silver and Gold Award recognition. They will select thirty from the original winners, with only ten to be given the Gold Award, the highest recognition under the campaign, while the remaining finalists will be given the Silver Award. If selected, the brands and products were allowed to use the Taiwan Excellence Seal locally and internationally. 



With Taiwan Excellence Seal, Filipino consumers will be able to distinguish the best Taiwan-made products, and can make educated decisions with their purchases. It will give Filipino buyers an assurance that they are purchasing world-class, innovative, reliable, and worthy products made to conform to the highest quality standards.
