The menu was extensive with a touch of fine dining to it, yet the food was rustic and comforting and unpretentious. Rex, our birthday boy (this is his birthday treat to us by the way), ordered Brazilian Tenderloin (Php665.00) with rice and garden salad as side dishes.
I ordered Grandma’s Steak Recipe (Php495.00). I chose creamed style corn and mashed potatoes as my side dishes. It was quite flavorful and superbly tender.
Robert ordered this Boneless Bourdon Ribs (Php495.00) with rice and baked beans as side dishes. I had tried this and it’s really good. I love how the taste of BBQ sauce and the pineapple combined really well.
Mom ordered Baked White Fish (Php365.00). It’s a fillet of white fish with rich béchamel sauce, Parmesan and herbs, and served with vegetable rice. This actually taste good.
Mr. Rockefeller is a good place – very comfortable for a fancy place, food was good and offers excellent service. But it would be nice if they can make their food presentation a little more appealing. Price wise, I believe it’s a bit above average but worth it. If you notice, we didn't order any oyster-dishes. And that would be the reason why I am going back to try those oyster-based-dishes they have on their menu.
