Nodasho Japanese Restaurant: Our first Little Tokyo Invasion

Having authentic Japanese cuisine cooked by Japanese Chefs... a dream come true! Haha! I am a huge fan of Japanese food, the authentic ones, though they are quite pricey. It’s a blessing that I am not the only one as the popularity of Japanese food is evident with the number of Japanese restaurants we have in the Philippines, including Little Tokyo.

Little Tokyo is a compound of best Japanese restaurants in the Philippines, which includes Nodasho Japanese Restaurant (hailed by Japanese locals as a place that serves dishes that are taste just as good as those back home). This little Japanese village is located beside Makati Cinema Square along Pasong Tamo, Makati City. It’s a place to go if you want to try out authentic Japanese feast with a matchless cultural setting. I can’t wait to try every Japanese restaurant in this little village.

As we seated, they served a complimentary appetizer; small pieces of steamed potato. And I can tell you, it does taste so good.

I ordered Beef Gyudon. This is a rice bowl dish. Simmered beef is served on top of steamed rice. Beef gyudon is, like, my Japanese comfort food.

I also ordered California Maki (left picture) which is my personal favorite, and Tekka Maki (right picture). Both are superb! I'm drooling right now just thinking these food!

Both Lisette and Donna ordered Niku Udon (beef and thick noodles in broth), Ebi Tempura comes with it as part of the lunch-set.

We also ordered Okonomiyaki. This is my new favorite Japanese food! This meal can best be described as a kind of savory Japanese pancake-like dish. This is a must-try!

Overall, Nodasho is a lovely Japanese restaurant with great ambiance and service, not to mention good food at reasonable prices. It was indeed a great lunch experience! The food really pleased my stomach and I’m happy that we made the right choice to pick Nodasho out of all the restaurants! I highly recommend them. P.S. Nodasho is most famous for its sushi, sashimi and maki.
