Brunch at Donu's Pork & Beef Grill, Jupiter St. Makati City

I've got a sudden craving for Korean food right now, so I decided to dig out these mouth-watering Korean BBQ pictures I had at Donu’s. These pictures have been sitting in my files for quite some time now. I personally met the owner of this place few days ago, such a very nice man. So I thought I’d share the experience I had with Donna and Anna at Donu Pork & Beef Grill.

Samgyupsal Pork Belly (Php220.00):The BBQ port set we ordered, more than enough to feed the 3 of us. Samgyupsal is served with Banchan (small side dishes served at a Korean meal - consisting of cubbed radish, potato, kimchi, and white turnip). If none of that sounds appetizing it's probably because you haven't tried it yet! Kidding! *grin*

Tteokbokki – Spicy Rice Cakes (Php200.00): My Korean meal would never be complete without ordering this dish, unless it’s not available. To those who aren't familiar with this food, Tteokbokki is a Korean street food snack made primarily of chewy rice cakes and fiery, funky gochujang chili paste. This has been voted by travelers as one of the The World's Best Spicy Food.

Kimchi Jeongol – Spicy Kimchi Soup (Php600.00): It’s a hot spicy dish that is really tasty. In my own opinion, this is a must try!

Goonmandoo - Fried Dumplings (Php200.00): Goonmandoo or Gunmandu (군만두) is pan-fried mandu, it's derived from guun-mandu 구운만두=>군만두 to mean "panned" dumplings. These dumplings were very tasty and so authentically Korean.

I've tried this place twice and both times I went here with high expectations and both times I left satisfied. The ambiance is not cozy but good enough, customer service is okay too. Overall, I would still dine here again, and definitely recommend it to anyone who wishes to try Korean Food.
